Zapier bills every action step, so the cost climbs with every run. Construct is an AI employee on a fixed monthly plan instead of a per-task bill, and it handles the steps that need reading and judgment, not only moving data between apps.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Zapier cost per month?
Zapier Professional starts at $19.99 a month billed annually, or $29.99 billed monthly, for 750 tasks. Team starts at $69 a month billed annually, or $103.50 monthly, for 2,000 tasks. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 100 tasks a month. Prices rise with the number of tasks you choose.
What counts as a task in Zapier?
Each successful action step in a Zap run is one task. Triggers don't count, and neither do Filter, Paths, Formatter or Delay steps, steps that error, or steps that never ran because a filter stopped the Zap. So a Zap with a trigger and three actions that runs 100 times uses 300 tasks.
How much does Zapier cost per task?
About 2.7 cents a task on the smallest Professional plan billed annually, or 4 cents billed monthly. The price per task falls as you buy more, to about 0.17 cents at 2 million tasks a month. Tasks you pay for but don't use still count toward the bill, so the real cost per task is higher if you sit well under your tier.
What happens when I go over my Zapier task limit?
If pay-per-task billing is on, your Zaps keep running and each extra task costs more than the ones in your plan, about 1.25 times as much in Zapier's current plan data. That carries on up to three times your plan's task limit, and then Zaps pause until the next period. With pay-per-task off, Zaps pause as soon as you hit the limit.
Is Zapier's Free plan enough?
Only if every Zap has two steps, one trigger and one action, and you stay under 100 tasks a month. Free also checks for new data every 15 minutes, against every 2 minutes on Professional and every minute on Team.
When do I need Team instead of Professional?
When more than one person builds or manages Zaps. Team adds up to 25 users, shared Zaps and folders, shared app connections and SAML single sign-on, and it starts at 2,000 tasks for $69 a month billed annually. For one person, Professional costs less at every task level.
Why is Zapier so expensive, and how can I lower the bill?
Zapier charges for every action step on every run, so a five-step Zap that runs 1,000 times uses 5,000 tasks. Put Filter steps as early as you can, since steps a filter stops never run and cost nothing, use the built-in Formatter instead of extra app steps where it works, and pay annually, which costs about a third less than monthly.
How accurate is this calculator?
It uses the list prices on Zapier's pricing page, checked on 11 October 2026, and counts tasks the way Zapier's help center describes. It leaves out AI by Zapier steps and taxes, which can add to a real bill. For your exact usage, open the usage page in your Zapier account.
